The Reds have lost four of their last five and couldn’t overcome an undermanned Brisbane Roar outfit last weekend.

Up against a Victory team that was unbeaten in seven before crashing in Wellington, the Reds could use signings Andwele Slory and Francisco Usucar either in the starting line up or off the bench.

Returning Victory striker Danny Allsopp may be given more game time after their 2-0 loss to Phoenix, where he was brought on in the first half.

Central Coast Mariners will aim to maintain their hold on third spot when they welcome Phoenix.

Despite his late error against Victory on New Year’s Eve, young keeper Mathew Ryan has kept nine clean sheets in 18 appearances in season six.

The Mariners have benefited from four own goals, the most of any club, and will be confident of collecting three points against a Phoenix side that has won just one of 11 road trips.

Newcastle Jets travel to North Queensland for the first of two meetings in four days against Fury.

The Jets have lost three games on the trot, including a disappointing 2-1 loss at the hands of Sydney FC last weekend.

Newcastle have a solid record against Fury, winning three of their four meetings with North Queensland winless in their last four games.

Competition front-runner Brisbane Roar will aim to extend their unbeaten run to 20 when Perth Glory visit. Roar have won 11 of the 17 meetings between the two, including a fine record at Suncorp Stadium.

In eight meetings at the venue, 32 goals have been scored with Glory winning just once. It has again been a disappointing season on the road for Glory, collecting six of a possible 36 points away from home.

Gold Coast United visit Sydney Football Stadium to face the Sky Blues, a team they still haven’t lost against with United winning four of the five meetings against Sydney, with the other ending in a draw.

But the Sky Blues broke a five-game winless run against the Jets last week and will want to shake up the top six in the home stretch of the season.
