MORE teams finally got off the mark and posted their first wins of the season but Central Coast Mariners stayed unbeaten to remain on top.
At the other end of the table though, Sydney's slump plumbed new depths. After four rounds, they're propping up the table with just two points from a possible 12.
And it's hard to see where they go from here. On Friday night, Juninho was the only major star missing in a home game against the bottom of the league...yet they still lost.
Some fans might be calling for the head of coach Branko Culina - but who do they replace him with...and where would any new boss find goals from anyway?
Meanwhile Victory again produced the biggest crowd of the round, but at 27,000, it was 4000 down on the 31,000 at their last home game.
It's still a great crowd but a worrying sign of fickle fans who want to see the side get a win. It's all very well being unbeaten as Victory are - but fans want to see their side scoring winners.

Wellington Phoenix finally posted their long overdue first victory in the A-League. After weeks of playing good football with little reward, they took on Sydney and came away with three points.
A cracker from Felipe cancelled out Adam Casey's first goal for Sydney, and a re-taken penalty by Daniel gave the visiting Kiwis a winner.

versus
Newcastle Jets made it two out of two with a late bit of genius from Mark Bridge to keep them hot on the heels of the Central Coast Mariners.
Adelaide United were missing the genius of Nathan Burns and couldn't find a reply to give the Jets their second win on the trot. Fans also got their first glimpse of Super Mario Jardel.

versus
Melbourne Victory and Central Coast Mariners both kept cleansheets but it was a thrilling match with chances galore at both ends.
It was only some flashes of brilliance from both keepers which kept the sides square, and although Victory had 70percent possession, that was no reflection of an even and exciting showpiece match.

versus
Perth Glory got their first goal of the season against Queensland Roar but they couldn't keep out Roar's attack who had their shooting boots on.
Jamie Harnwell made a triumphant return to the starting line-up for Glory but Roar were the winners - and Perth were booed from the field.

So after four rounds, Central Coast Mariners are still top of the table on ten points but Newcastle Jets have closed the gap down to just two points.
Roar are third with five points, Victory is just ahead of Wellington Phoenix on goal difference with both on four points, and Glory have now slipped down to seventh with three points.
But propping up the table are Sydney, already looking favourites for the wooden spoon unless Juninho can single-handedly lead them to glory when he returns to full fitness.
