Roar's only loss was a poor 3-0 performance against Victory at the venue but at Suncorp Stadium earlier this year, Roar handed Melbourne Heart a 4-0 thrashing in a devastating display.

But Heart are coming off  the back of a six game unbeaten streak after getting past North Queensland Fury 3-2 in Townsville last night.

Victory make the long trip to Perth Glory in search of an important three points.

Glory's extended period without a win has stretched to 10 and a superior record against their opponent at nib Stadium has shown to mean little this year.

Adelaide United will look to keep the pressure on Brisbane atop the league ladder when they visit Newcastle Jets.

The Reds rebounded from their thrashing at the hands of Roar with a victory against Glory mid-week.

But Newcastle's woes in front of goal are well documented, scoring only five goals in 11 games.

Wellington Phoenix return home on the back of an away victory to host Central Coast Mariners.

The record-breaking run of Phoenix at home came to an end at the hands of Roar last time at Westpac Stadium.

But they return on the back of an unlikely away win at Perth Glory, facing a Mariners side that is firmly entrenched in the top half of the table.

Gold Coast United may extend their unbeaten run to 10 when they host Sydney FC. There have been few goals between these two clubs in four meetings, with the net only found seven times.

But the Sky Blues have lost both visits to Skilled Park and are yet to beat United.

Weekend break: North Queensland Fury
