After reading http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/111961,still-a-good-suncorp-deal-to-be-had.aspx one FFT reader under the user name "Harry's Hot" asked for a right of reply to A-League boss Archie Fraser's comments about an email he received from her. So here it is...

Response to Archie Fraser's article regarding my email post:

I have read with interest Archie's comment about my email to him and my 'supposed' contact with the Brisbane Roar in this article.

Firstly let me say that this was not the second email that I sent him, I sent an original email as I felt that there were referee and ticket pricing issues that myself (and many of my friends/members) have had this season.

He responded professionally but said that if I wished to sit in 'prime seating' in Suncorp, then it costs more to do this and ticket prices were lower than other codes.  I said that we would have to agree to disagree and thanked him kindly for his reply.

The email I posted was his response which I still believe to be patronising and rude, when I told him so he said I could send it to whoever I like.

The only contact I have had with Brisbane Roar was when the original season prices came out, I emailed them like many others to say I was quite shocked with the prices and would have to consider whether we continue our membership this year.  The only previous contact I ever had with them was when my son was a ball boy in 2007.

I have never denied enjoying going to Suncorp, in fact it's the best stadium in Australia. My seats are not premium seats, we sit well off to the side although my argument was not with that. I'm happy where they are, I've never denied that.

What I was unhappy with is the rise of our season tickets from $550 to $1250. Games which cost us $55 per game now cost our family $90. This is an unrealistic price hike.

What the Roar should be doing is looking at corporate dollars rather than targeting the fans who have stood behind them since the clubs inception.

I am a passionate Roar fan, enjoy being a member and want to support the club, but I honestly believe the club have got it wrong here.  If current prices stay I won't be able to afford to renew my membership next year and will have to choose the games that I go to, which will likely be the blockbusters and the local derbies.
