Liberian international striker Francis Doe will trial with Victory in the next four weeks. Looking for other striking options in the face of visa delays for their Costa Rican triallist, Doe's agent has been in touch with Gary Cole and expressed his client's desire to play in the A-league. Doe's cousin, Jerry Karpeh, who won the Golden Boot in the WA Premier league in 2007 and later trialled with Newcastle Jets, lives in Melbourne, playing with the Whittlesea Zebras in the Foxtel Cup.
Doe, 22, scored twice for Liberia in the 2008 African Cup of Nations and was most recently playing for Red Bull New York in the MLS, being released in February.
