Ross Aloisi is sitting on the fence ahead of Sunday's clash at Sydney Football Stadium with the only prediction that supporters are in for an intriguing battle.

"I'm happy to see John off the mark so quickly and obviously he'll be wanting to build on that against Adelaide," Ross told au.fourfourtwo.com today.

"Sydney and Adelaide will both be feeling confident after winning their first games and I think the fans are in for a good game this weekend and I'm predicting goals.

"Both teams are very well structured defensively and well capable of hitting the opposition on the break. Look how quickly Sydney turned defence into attack for their first goal against North Queensland."

The elder Aloisi believes Kofi Danning's pace down the right is a major plus for Sydney and could be a source of ammunition for his brother and Alex Brosque.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how Kofi Danning goes again," he said. "He looked electrifying."

Ross is reluctant to pick a winner and family loyalty aside, he feels any outcome is possible.

He added: "I'm sure there'll be a good crowd. Sydney have tried to get out there and get the message to people in pre-season.

"I think the fans will be in for an exciting game and I think there will be goals."
