The A-League club confirmed today that the popular Brazilian's two month stint with the club had concluded.

Although the 36-year-old barely figured in David Mitchell's side, he remains optimistic about his future and is keen to stay in the A-League.

Amaral's Australian-based representative Casar Cotrim said they were in negotiations with two clubs in the Sao Paolo First Division which begin their pre-season in November.

However, the former national team player, capped 31 times for the Selecao, says his body is in good enough nick to go another three seasons in the A-League - taking him up to the age of 39.

And given a choice, the 36-year-old former Benfica, Fiorentina and Besiktas man would prefer to ply his trade in Australia's elite league.

"I love the country, I'd like to stay. I'm very interested. I love the country and its people. I'm disciplined with my lifestyle and body so playing for three more years I believe is no problem," he told au.fourfourtwo.com through a translator.
