Arnold's trip was revealed by former Mariners boss Lawrie McKinna via his Twitter account although the former Bluetongue boss didn't name the target.

McKinna will take on a new role off the pitch at the Gosford outfit next season but has vowed to continue the Twittering that he began last season.

The Mariners held their final training session last week before the players departed for a break, a session which allowed new boys such as Daniel McBreen and Joshua Rose to meet up with their colleagues for the first time.

Arnold has already held a number of sessions and took charge of a friendly game in Adelaide recently before he takes charge on a day-to-day basis after the World Cup.
