EXCLUSIVE: Young Australian Kearyn Baccus is poised to join Perth Glory on a short-term deal before finalising a move to Serie A club Siena early next year.
It’s expected that the 21-year-old former Central Coast Mariner youth team player will join Glory for the new A-League season before switching to Siena around January.
The west Sydney-born midfielder has been on the books of French club Le Mans since 2009 after leaving Australia as a talented youth player in the national set up.
Last season he played almost 20 times for the lower-tier French club where he scored twice.
Baccus is a creative midfielder who can play as a ten or an eight and will be another strong addition for Perth Glory’s squad.
The Aussie has signed a pre-agreement with Siena where it’s thought he will be able to join the Italian club in January, though there is speculation he could be loaned out to another club once there.
In Italy, Baccus will join another young Aussie Chris Ikonomidis who plays for Atalanta reserves.
Atalanta also recently signed Socceroo James Troisi, on loan from Juventus.
