In the English Premier League our Aaron Mooy and Mat Ryan were in inspired form as Brighton beat Arsenal 2-1 away at the Emirates. Mooy assisted Brighton's winner while Ryan had cat-like reflexes to deny Arsenal's relentless pressure.

Mat Ryan and Aaron Mooy combined force to star as Brighton & Hove Albion snatched a stunning 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal.

In the Scottish League Martin Boyle is back in the big time at Hibernian scoring a double in a 3-0 win over Aberdeen.  Oliver Bozanic was absent for Hearts' 1-1 draw with Livingston and an unused sub in a 1-0 loss to Motherwell. 

Lyndon Dykes scored his first goal in six matches as Livingston beat Kilmarnock 3-0.

Tom Rogic's Celtic came away with 10th Betfred Cup crown this morning. They beat biiter rivals Rangers in the final with the Australian an unused sub. 

In the English Championship Jackson Irvine got an assist and Callum Elder played a full match as Hull City beat Stoke City 2-1 who had Adam Federici on the bench. Bailey Wright was absent from Bristol City's squad that beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage. Massimo Luongo was a 78th minute substitute for Sheffield Wednesday as they beat Brentford 2-1. 

Kenny Dougall was an unused sub for Barnsley as they lost 3-2 to Cardiff City. It's the second week in a row Dougall has been unused. Australian goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer was on the bench for Charlton as they lost 1-0 to Middlesborough. 

In League One action Harry Souttar played 90 minutes for Fleetwood Town as their five game unbeaten run ended at the hands of Blackpool, losing 3-0. Mark Milligan played a full match for Southend United in a 4-2 loss to Bristol Rovers.

Ryan Williams played 73 minutes for Portsmouth as they settled for a 2-2 draw at home to Peterborough United. Ryan Edwards played 90 minutes for Burton Albion as they lost 2-0 at home to Lincoln City. 

In the English youth leagues Alex Robertson continues to shine for Manchester City scoring a hat-trick as City U18 thrashed Sunderland U18 7-0. Caleb Watts played 82 minutes for Southampton U23 as they got a great result, beating Man City U23 2-0. 

Jordan Harrison played 90 minutes for Watford U18 as they were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup on penalties to Fleetwood Town U18. Zak Gilsenan played 15 minutes off the bench for Blackburn U18 as they beat Wolves U18 3-0. 

EUROPE 

In Germany Brandon Borrello was an unused sub for Freiburg SC as they beat Wolfsburg 1-0 at home. The result keeps them will in the race for the Champions League in fifth place. 

Jacob Italiano scored his second goal of the season while Christian Theoharous was absent for Borussia Mönchengladbach II as they lost 4-1 to SV Rödinghausen. 

In Denmark Awer Mabil scored for FC Midtjylland as they beat Brondby 2-1 away from home. Mustafa Amini played 90 minutes while Alex Gersbach and Zach Duncan were unused for AGF as they drew 1-1 with Lyngby. 

In the Netherlands Ajdin Hrustic played 90 minutes for FC Groningen as they lost 1-0 at home to FC Utrecht. Dylan Ryan was on the bench for Willem II as they pulled off a historic result, beating Ajax 2-0 away from home. 

In Austria James Holland played 90 minutes for LASK Linz in another dominant 3-1 win over Wolfsberger AC. LASK are just two points behind Red Bull Salzburg in second place. 

In Croatia Anthony Kalik played 77 minutes for Hajduk Split in a 1-1 draw with Inter Zapresic.

In Turkey Aziz Behich was back on the bench for Basaksehir as they drew 1-1 with Denlizlispor.

In Serbia Milos Degenek was an unused sub for Red Star Belgrade as they beat Subotica 3-1. 

In Belgium George Timotheou played 90 minutes for Zulte Waregem U23 in the reserve league, keeping a clean sheet beating Royal Antwerp 3-0. 

In Cyprus Apostolos Giannou played 90 minutes for AEK Larnaca as they went down 3-1 to Apollon Limassol. The result leaves AEK Larnaca in sixth place and without a win in three matches. 

In Israel Nikita Rukavytsya played 66 minutes while Trent Sainsbury played 90 minutes in a thrilling 3-3 draw with FC Ashdod. 

ASIA & AFRICA 

In Japan Ange Postecoglou achieved one of the greatest coaching feats in Australian football history, winning the J-League with Yokohama F Marinos.

Mitchell Langerak played 90 minutes as Nagoya Grampus avoided the drop, finishing the season just a point off the relegation zone. Jubilo Iwata and Matsumoto Yamaga took points off each other in a 1-1 draw keeping Nagoya in the J-League.

In India Erik Paartalu played 90 minutes as Bengalurru beat Odisha 1-0. Elsewhere David Williams got on the scoresheet for ATK as they beat NorthEast United 3-0 away from home.

In Indonesia Ante Bakmaz played a full game for Madura United in a dominant 3-0 win over Kalteng Putra. Anthony Golec played a full game for Badak Lampung who lost 5-1 PSS Slemen. Aaron Evans played 90 minutes for PSM as they lost 3-1 to Persela. 

In South Africa Kearyn Baccus played 66 minutes for Kaizer Chiefs as they defeated Bloem Celtic 5-3.
