It was a night to forget for our Aussies Abroad in the Champions League and Europa League while Socceroo in waiting Martin Boyle scored for Hibernian. Andrew Nabbout finally made his return from injury for Urawa Red Diamonds while Tim Cahill is back in club action in India.
But it was better news on the domestic front with Tom Rogic, Nikita Rukavytsya, Mustafa Amini, Mark Milligan and Martin Boyle all starring for the respective clubs.
EUROPE
In the UEFA Champions League Milos Degenek started and played 90 minutes as Crvena Zvezda were thrashed 6-1 by PSG at the Parc Des Princes. Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich were both unused subs as PSV were edged 2-1 by Inter Milan.
In the UEFA Europe League Alex Gersbach played a full match for Rosenborg in their 3-1 loss at home to RassenBallsport Leipzig. Apostolos Giannou played played 89 minutes and got an assist for AEK Larnaca as they lost 4-2 to Bayer Leverkusen. Tom Rogic was absent from Celtic's squad that lost 3-1 to Red Bull Salzburg. Danny Vukovic kept a clean sheet on match day one but let in three in a 3-1 loss to Sarpsborg on match day two for KRC Genk.

In Armenia Paris Duffield was absent for Hamrun Spartans as they drew 0-0 with Silema Wanderers while Harry Ascroft was absent from Balzan FC as they lost 4-1 to Valletta.
In Serbia Milos Degenek's Red Star Belgrade faced up against Dejan Pandurevic's FK Zemun. Degenek played a full match while Pandurevic was absent from FK Zemnu's squad as Red Star Belgrade won 2-1. Andrew Marveggio was a 93rd minute substitute in Macva Sabac's 2-0 win over Backa.
In the Bundesliga Mat Leckie played 16 minutes off the bench in Hertha Berlin's bore draw against FSV Mainz. Brandon Borello remains sidelined for Freiburg as they lost 4-1 to Augsburg. Robbie Kruse started and played 88 minutes as VFL Bochum beat Arminia Bielefeld 1-0. Kwame Yeboah was absent from Fortuna Koln's squad that beat VFR Aalen 1-0.
Christian Theoharous was absent from Borussia Mönchengladbach II's squad that drew 2-2 against Verd in the Regionalliga. Joshua Laws and Jamie Percevski were absent from Fortuna Dusseldorf II's squad that lost 2-1 to Rödinghausen. Julian Schwarzer was an unused substitute for Pipinsried 09 as they beat Rosenheim 2-0. Stefan Valentini was absent from TuS Erndtebruck's squad that defeated Paderborn 1-0. John Anton-Buceto is still recovering from injury as his Kaan-Marienborn beat Rot Weiß Oberhausen 3-2 away from home. In Greece Haris Stamboulidis was absent from Aris Thessa's 1-0 loss to Panionios for whom Peter Makrillos was also absent from the match day squad.
In the Netherlands Trent Sainsbury made his starting debut in the Eredivisie for PSV and played a full game while Aziz Behich played 10 minutes off the bench in a 4-0 win over VVV-Venlo. Ajdin Hrustic played a full match in FC Gronigen's 1-0 loss to ADO Den Haag. Denis Genreau played a full match while Dean Bouzanis was an unused sub for PEC Zwolle in their 2-0 win over Excelsior. George Mells was absent from Fortuna Sittard's squad that drew 3-3 away to FC Emmen.

In Denmark Awer Mabil played 79 minutes and got an assist as FC Midtjylland beat Vendsyssel FF 3-0. Mustafa Amini played a full match and got an assist as well for AGF's 2-2 draw away to Odense.
In Israel Nikita Rukavytsya played 90 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Hapoel Be'er Sheeva. Later in the week the Socceroo played a full match and a key role in his sides goal in a 1-1 draw with Ra'anana.

Mark Rizoski was absent from NK Lucko's squad that drew 0-0 with Hrvatski. Anthony Kalik started and played 90 minutes for NK Rudes as they lost 3-0 to Dinamo Zagreb.

In the English Championship Mile Jedinak was absent from both Aston Villa's 3-3 draw with Preston North End and 2-1 loss to Millwall for whom James Meredith played a full match. Earlier in the week Meredith played 75 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest. Bailey Wright was absent from Bristol City's matches against Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday. Ryan Williams completed 90 minutes against Bristol City in their 0-0 draw and another 90 minutes in their 3-1 loss to Birmingham City. In the English youth leagues Tyrese Francois played a full game for Fulham U23 as they defeated Birmingham City U23 2-1 for whom Cameron McGilp featured. Jasko Keranovic was an unused sub for West Brom U23 as they beat Stoke U23 3-2. Jacob Young played a full match for Sunderland U23 as they lost 1-0 to Aston Villa U23. Riley Warland played started and completed 90 minutes as Fulham U18 smashed Reading U18 7-0.
In the Scottish Premiership Rogic put in a classy 69 minute shift, with two assists, as the Hoops demolished St Johstone 6-0 in the Scottish Premiership.

Ryan Edwards played a full game as St Mirren lost 4-1 to Aberdeen. Jesse Curran got 15 minutes off the bench for Dundee FC as they lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock. Ben Garuccio played 17 minutes off the bench while Oli Bozanic was an unused sub for Hearts as they lost 3-1 to a rampant Rangers.

In the K-League Classic Dylan McGowan was an unused sub for Gangwon as they drew 1-1 with Pohang Steelers for whom Connor Chapman played 90 minutes. James Donachie was an unused sub as Jeonnam Dragons defeated FC Seoul 1-0. Aleksander Jovanovic completed 90 minutes for Jeju United as they defeated Gyeongnam 1-0.
