In the FA Cup Mat Ryan's cup final dream faded as his Brighton were narrowly knocked out 1-0 by titans Manchester City.
In the English Championship Mass Luongo played a full game for QPR in a 4-0 loss to Norwich City. Jackson Irvine played 90 minutes in Hull City's 3-1 victory over Reading. Bailey Wright played a full match for Bristol City as they drew 2-2 with Wigan Athletic. James Meredith played 90 minutes for Millwall in their 2-0 victory over West Brom. Ryan Williams was an 80th minute substitute for Rotherham United in their 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
In League One Harry Souttar played a full match for Fleetwood Town as they drew 2-2 with Southend United. Cameron Burgess was an unused sub for Scunthorpe United as they drew 1-1 with Shrewsbury.
In Scotland Mark Milligan played 90 minutes in the fiery Edinburgh Derby for Hibernian as they were victorious 2-1. Oli Bozanic was an unused sub for Hearts on the receiving end of the result. Tom Rogic was back in the groove for Celtic playing 70 minutes in Celtic's frustrating 0-0 draw with Livingston. Jesse Curran and Ryan McGowan both played full matches as Dundee FC lost 2-1 to Aberdeen.

It was battle of the Aussies in the Scottish Championship as Jack Iredale's Greenock Morton and Lyndon Dykes Queen of the South shared the points in a 1-1 draw with both players finishing 90 minutes. Scott McDonald's Partick Thistle came up against Tom Beadling's Dunfermline Athletic with both players scoring in a 2-2 draw.
In the English Youth Leagues Tyrese Francois played a full game for Fulham U23 while Joel Rollinson was a second half substitute for Reading U23 as Reading ran out 3-0 winners. Kai Caldebrank Park was on the bench for Burnley U23's in their match against Nottingham Forest U23. Oscar Woods played a full game for Burnley U18 in their 1-0 win over Bristol City U18. Jacob Young was an unused sub for Sunderland U23 as they drew 0-0 with Middlesborough U23. Con Ouzinidis was absent from Everton U23's squad that lost 4-3 to Manchester City U23.
