Australia’s Confederations Cup campaign came to a disappointing but satisfying end following a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Copa América champions Chile.

Chile
Claudio Bravo 5.5 - Went to ground early as he was beaten by Troisi for the opener. Had a couple of comfortable saves to make after that.
Mauricio Isla 6 - Wasn’t tested too much defensively but struggled to break forward from right back.
Paulo Diaz 6.5 - Made a number of important blocks and interceptions to keep Australia at bay. Missed a decent chance when he headed wide from Vidal’s delivery.
Gonzalo Jara 5.5 - Wasteful in possession, regularly giving the ball away when under pressure from Australia’s forward line.

Eugenio Mena 6.5 - Began to get forward more in the second half. Cross from the left resulted in Chile’s equaliser.
Francisco Silva 6 - Tried to drop deep to receive the ball from his defenders. Often found himself shackled by Australia’s midfielders when he ventured further forward.
Charles Aranguiz 5.5 - Replaced at half time by Pablo Hernández. Made a couple of effective cross-field passes but was quite ineffective overall.
