DAVID Beckham has revealed he is close to agreeing a return to AC Milan.
The England and Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder knows he must play in Europe to win a place in Fabio Capello's World Cup squad.
Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber has confirmed talks are ongoing with Milan over the transfer.
And following a successful stint at the San Siro last season, Beckham appears to be relishing a return to Italy when the January transfer window closes.
He said in the Mail on Sunday: "There are other options available, but none that will stop me going to Milan.
"It is close to being finalised."
