DAVID Beckham and LA Galaxy will return to Australia later this year to play A-League side Queensland Roar on December 11 at Suncorp stadium.
However, it appears that Roar themselves have not been involved in making the game happen and that Frank Farina's side face the prospect of two games in four days as the season really hots up.
Queensland Roar offered a 'no comment' to au.fourfourtwo.com about the match, saying it was a deal organised by the Qld state government and Suncorp stadium and that the club were not involved in the negotiations.
However, reports have confirmed the game and date and it’s understood that once again the FFA will be involved in promoting the match at the 52,000 capacity Suncorp.
The clash comes five days after Beckham’s side play an Oceania XI in Auckland on December 6.
Beckham and the Galaxy attracted a full house at ANZ stadium last year with over 80,000 fans enjoying a 5-3 goalfest with Sydney FC.
Roar are scheduled to play Newcastle Jets in an A-League fixture on December 14 also at Suncorp.
