J.League club Gamba Osaka and a team from the A-League are also inked in for the tournament, due to kick off on February 23 next year.
Former England captain Beckham, currently in Australia on tour with LA Galaxy, therefore has the opportunity to continue to keep busy during the MLS close season.
The Pan-Pacific Championship will be played in a knockout format - with Nabisco Cup holders Gamba facing LA Galaxy and the A-League representatives taking on MLS Cup Champions Houston in the semi-finals at Honolulu's Aloha Stadium.
The semi-final winners will advance to the final, with the two losing sides meeting in a third-place play-off.
"This tournament will unite four terrific clubs from across the region to crown a true Pan-Pacific champion," said Doug Quinn, president of tournament organisers Soccer United Marketing.
"Honolulu was selected as the host, not only for its geographical location in the centre of the Pan-Pacific, but also for its community, its terrific infrastructure and its history of hosting top international sporting events."
The Australian representatives will be decided on the basis of results in the A-League finals series, which concludes in early February.
Football Federation Australia chief executive Ben Buckley is looking forward to the country's participation in the tournament.
"The Pan-Pacific Championships is a new high-quality competition in which Football Federation Australia is proud to participate," said Buckley.
"Partnering with clubs from the internationally respected and sophisticated competitions such as the MLS and J.League validates the massive advances that the Hyundai A-League and football in Australia has made over the past three years."
J. League Chairman Kenji Onitake added: “What a great pleasure it is that the winners of the 2007 J.League Yamazaki Nabisco Cup, Gamba Osaka, now have this opportunity to play against such strong opponents from MLS and the A-League at the Pan-Pacific Championship.
“I sincerely hope that these Pan-Pacific games will promote still more exchange through football all around the Pacific.”
