Miller has made an impressive early impact with Gold Coast but his decision to find a new home with Roar's biggest rivals has inflamed sections of the Suncorp faithful.

The Scotsman is likely to be the target of some travelling vocal attacks on Boxing Day but Bleiberg sees no issue with Miller swapping one part of Queensland for another.

"Charlie needs to look after his family and if he's not wanted by Roar and is wanted by us, why should he be taken to task for that?" Bleiberg told goldcoast.com.au.

"Charlie is like butter, he has a certain shelf life left in him and he's trying to do what's best for his career."

Earlier this week Miller insisted that he had left Roar on good terms and that he felt he had the respect of the Brisbane fans.
