GOLD Coast United boss Miron Bleiberg may have suffered his first taste of defeat in charge of the A-League new boys but his sense of humour remains firmly in tact.
Gold Coast hopes of going through the whole A-League season were left in tatters at EnergyAustralia Stadium after they were beaten 1-0 by Newcastle Jets.
Sean Rooney scored the only goal of the game to give Branko Culina bragging rights over son Jason.
Bleiberg was far from despondent after seeing the 100 per cent record end but felt there would be a fair number of football fans happy to see the Coast's bubble burst.
He said: "I think the FFA admitted the Gold Coast to bring some colour and some excitement to the A-League - so how many people do you think are happy today? We have brought joy, everybody is happy, the Gold Coast has lost."
