Kept out of Sunday's 1-1 draw with Wellington due to visa issues, Rigters is almost certain have his availability confirmed in time for Saturday's meeting with Central Coast Mariners at Bluetongue Stadium.

That means one of either promising young attackers James Brown or Ben Halloran, who were both impressive against Wellington on Sunday, are likely be omitted to make room for the former Blackburn marksman - but that could be where the changes end.

Bleiberg is notorious and often criticized for tweaking his tactics and formation on a week-to-week basis, usually in the name of neutralizing the threats posed by different opposition.

Last season - while injuries, suspension and form played their part - the United boss only fielded an unchanged starting line-up on two separate occasions.

But now, the picture is different and Bleiberg says the pecking order in his new-look squad is clear and there will be 'no surprises' and, consequently, no selection headaches.

"(Rigters) will be put in, someone will be dropped to the bench and someone will drop out of the squad," he said.

"The first XI is quite established. The spine of the team is what you saw in the first game, there will not be any surprises.

"It's not a headache. A headache is when you're not sure what the better option is. Mace is so much above the others there is no argument.

"It might be a little bit of heartbreak for those left behind but that's professional football. That's how it works."

Halloran, 19, knows that seniority and experience means it will probably be him who will make way for Rigters.

"Mace is a great player, it's hard to deny him the spot. And with the performance Browny put in, it's going to be hard to retain that spot but hopefully Miron keeps faith in me," he said.

He can be sure of that, even if it means he misses selection despite another tidy showing that would have won him a few new fans.

"Ben Halloran will feature heavily for us this year," Bleiberg said. "After five months training with 22 players available, at his age, he was in the first XI for our first game - that speaks for itself.

"He's very talented and has a great future, but still, he's not 100 per cent ready for senior football.

"There were some things he was doing great, some things he was doing better than anybody else with his ability and his speed - but in some areas he's still very naive, particularly defensively.

"It will be very exciting to see him in 12 months time - that's why one of my recommendations to the club was to sign him to a long-term contract, which we did, because I can anticipate what will happen with him."
