Bleiberg says it is no accident that he has sought players who may feel a slight sense of injustice or frustration at what has occurred to them in recent times.

He hopes Gold Coast will be the beneficiaries as those players look to seize the opportunity presented to them.

The likes of Michael Thwaite, Steve Pantelidis and Kristian Rees all found themselves not playing consistently at their previous clubs.

"I am always looking for players like that," Bleiberg told au.fourfourtwo.com. "Those are players I look for, those that feel they have something to prove for whatever reason.

"They probably feel they should have played more and they will want to fight hard to get into this team and show people that."

Gold Coast's latest pre-season outing resulted in a 2-0 victory over Nerang with former Brisbane Roar youngster Tahj Minniecon on target.
