Alpha magazine has snapped four A-League stars at Sydney’s new Gotham Bar in Darlinghurst in a shoot called “Boys Night Out”.   

Featured are Matt Thompson of Melbourne Heart, Alex Wilkinson from Central Coast Mariners, Gold Coast’s Zenon Caravella and backing up from his recent FHM shoot, Young Socceroo Matt Leckie from the Reds.

The shoot is yet another designed to raise the profile of the A-League finals which were launched today in Sydney.

In recent weeks there have been photoshoots in Cleo and FHM magazines as the FFA through their PR arm Frank PR look to raise the profile of the game outside the usual sports media.

Glen Moss of Gold Coast United, told au.fourfourtwo.com it’s something different for the players and good for the game.

“It was nerve-wracking because we’re footballers not models but it was a lot of fun,” says Moss, who appeared in the FHM shoot in a classic European style suit.
