CENTRAL Coast Mariners appear set to lose another grand final-winning star, with Oliver Bozanic likely to join Swiss Super League side FC Luzern.
But the A-League champions insist the deal is yet to be finalised despite Luzern making an official announcement regarding the 24-year-old.
Bozanic underwent a medical during the week and trained with the two-time Swiss Cup winners, who claimed the deal was done.
Central Coast Mariners group general manager Peter Turnbull said he expected the deal to be finalised but was unhappy with Luzern.
The Swiss side said Bozanic had signed a two-year deal and compared his career thus far to former FC Basel star Scott Chipperfield.
"While we do expect Oliver to be transferred and are satisfied that we've helped groom yet another young Australian player, we believe FC Luzern should have finalised the appropriate paperwork before making any announcement," he said.
"Naturally, we wish Oliver all the best in the Swiss top flight should the deal be finalised, however it is now up to FC Luzern to fulfil their duties regarding the transfer."
Bozanic could join the exodus from the Mariners, who have lost the likes of Mathew Ryan, Bernie Ibini and Pedj Bojic in the off-season
