BRANKO Culina can seek revenge on Sydney FC when his new club Newcastle Jets clash in a pre-season trip to the SFS next Sunday.
Culina has yet to return from a European recruitment mission but only his second game in charge is likely to be against his former employers.
Vitezslav Lavicka's men will entertain their New South Wales rivals on July 26 with the match kicking off at 2pm.
The match replaces Sydney's scheduled friendly against Shanghai Shenhua, which was cancelled last week following the late withdrawal of the Chinese Super League side.
It will be Culina's first game back at the Sydney Football Stadium since his axing by the previous Sydney regime in October 2007.
The match will also be a chance for the Jets to gain revenge for the 2-0 defeat they suffered by Sydney FC in Port Macquarie this weekend, John Aloisi grabbing both the goals.
Whether the Jets will have Matt Thompson in their line up remains to be seen however. He is reported to be heading for a trial with Chinese Super League club Changchun Yatai.
Tickets will go on sale through all Ticketek outlets (including online) later this week. All seating at the game will be general admission. Entry will be $10 for adults and $5 for kids, plus booking fee for pre-purchased tickets.
