NIKOLAI Topor-Stanley is in the form of his life and continues to grow as a footballer, according to Newcastle Jets boss Branko Culina.
Culina's men will look to stop Brisbane Roar's attacking threat this evening and Culina is delighted to have the former Olyroo among the backline.
"He (Topor-Stanley) was awesome (against Adelaide). He is another of our players who has grown in stature," said Culina.
"He took a leadership role against Sydney when the other two leaders were taking a bit of a break and he was awesome. It was good to see him break his duck by scoring a goal the other night.
"I have never seen anyone leap so high. He is really maturing as a player and I am very pleased for him."
The big question is whether Ljubo Milicevic will be fit enough to play in the defence with him tonight.
A strain has put a question mark over his participation.
