Brockie's World Cup hopes with New Zealand looked in tatters back in January when he broke a leg playing for Fury.

But the dream has come true for Brockie and he has been swift to praise the efforts of those who have helped make it happen for him.

"They ( Fury) were stoked for me when they found out I made the squad last week," Brockie told the Dominion Post.

"They were pretty happy with the job they had done themselves and so they should be. They did a superb job.

"Even though they already knew that I was moving on they were still willing to help me out as much as they could. They wanted me to go to the World Cup as much as I did."

Brockie is now hoping to be part of the side that faces the Socceroos in Melbourne on Monday night.
