Mackay played for his side Changchun Yatai in midweek and helped them to a 2-0 win while Bridge has said already said goodbye to China after his spell with Tianjin Teda.

A Roar spokesman confirmed to au.fourfourtwo.com today that McKay would report for pre-season duty early next week with Bridge expected to pull on his training kit for Sydney on Monday.

The former Newcastle Jet isn't expected to start for the club in Monday night's friendly against Central Coast Mariners in Leichhardt.

As for McKay, he will have to prepare for life in the Roar engine room, at least for a while, without his regular partner Massimo Murdocca who is out with a broken leg.

As for Australians still in China, Joel Griffiths was on target in midweek with brother Ryan coming on as a sub as Beijing Guoan defeated Dalian Shide 2-1.

The Griffiths boys and their teammates are currently top of the table.
