The Socceroos midfielder was left "dumbfounded" by a sudden Hull City exit, with the former Championship club axing their former leadership-group stalwart.

Irvine's demise at the club was swift and brutal, with Hull's coach since claiming the Tigers need "real leadership" - although whether that comment was directed at Irvine, among the club's numerous other issues, is uncertain.

But while Hull have since been linked with about every vacant midfielder in the Championship and below, Irvine's own transfer status has been less publicised, with no known clubs seen to be in the chase for the box-to-box footballer.

So, in his downtime, Irvine is enjoying a few non-football related activities.

Hope to see him back in more familiar digs sometime soon.
