RINI Coolen watched his side extend their unbeaten start to the season and then reminded Adelaide United's rivals that he still has Mathew Leckie and Marcos Flores to welcome back into the side.
A seventh consecutive away game without loss and a third clean sheet of the season maintains the Reds' six point gap at the top of the table heading into next Friday night's home game against Wellington Phoenix.
There is also the added positive that key playmakers Marcos Flores and Mathew Leckie are both likely to return for the match against Phoenix, Flores coming back from a hamstring injury while Leckie is expected back in the coming days after playing in the AFC U-19 Championship Final with the Qantas Young Socceroos tonigh
Coolen was satisfied with the result and pleased that his team put in an improved performance from their last outing a fortnight ago.
"I think we played a good game, we controlled the game for a lot of moments, we created a lot of chances for an away game and we didn't give much away, so I think the result was fair and for us it was a good result," Coolen said.
"It is a big bonus for our team that we made a decision on how we wanted to play and we talked about it and trained for it. We lost some key players from our system as well so we did well for 90 minutes and were happy with that.
"We were strong today, much stronger than our last game. We didn't win but we didn't lose, that's a real positive, especially for an away game."
The Reds boss also looks forward to welcoming Flores and Leckie back into the team as Adelaide United continue to make the running a third of the way into the season.
"They (Leckie and Flores) are key players in our system and we'll see how it goes and if they are both fit," Coolen said.
"Leckie plays tonight and I hope they will win the Final, and with Flores we'll see how he goes in a couple of days, so we have a few days to prepare for the next game and hopefully they will be there."
