GOLD Coast United skipper Jason Culina insists he will stick with the club to the end of the A-League season rather than seek a Socceroo-driven January loan deal.
While other Socceroo players are looking to exit their A-League side in January to enhance their chances of being part of Pim Verbeek's squad, Culina won't be joining their ranks.
He will only allow his thoughts to turn to green and gold matters when the final ball has been kicked in United's season.
"I am the captain and I have signed a contract with the Gold Coast until the end of the season," Culina told AAP. "I am committed to them, I have signed a contract with them and I will look at something when the season ends, but certainly no sooner.
"I want to help Gold Coast United."
The midfielder believes his club is looking at a massive few weeks and they will go into their next match full of confidence after the weekend win over Central Coast Mariners.
"It's a huge few weeks for us and we need to string a few results together and gain that confidence, I honestly feel that we are starting to play some really good stuff," Culina added.
"I told the boys right before the game on the pitch, (if) we get something (against the Mariners) and then we go to Newcastle and get a result.
"We have three home games after (Newcastle) and we can really start to string a few wins together."
