NEWCASTLE Jets boss Branko Culina claims the Hunter club's impressive off-season recruitment isn't over just yet with 'room for more' quality signings.
The Jets, who were knocked out of A-League playoffs last term by Wellington in the Minor Semi Final, have since signed New Zealand international Jeremy Brockie along with ex-Socceroos Kasey Wehrman and Ruben Zadkovich.
And Culina believes Newcastle's recruitment drive isn't over yet.
"We've still got room for more," Culina told the Newcastle Herald.
"The idea was obviously to get our squad finalised as quickly as we can and not have to rush at the last minute, as we have done previously for a number of years.
"We still plan to sign a couple of players. The important thing is that they are quality players.
"There is no particular position we are looking to fill. The main thing is that the players must bring some quality into our squad."
Newcastle has lost Matt Thompson, Jason Hoffman, Ange Costanzo, Fabio Vignaroli, Song Jin-Hyung (who is trialling in Europe) and Jason Naidovski from last season's squad and have two foreign spots left to fill.
Culina admitted he was casting his eye over a long list of talent, but rejected rumours the club were after Dutch striker Romano Denneboom or ex-Sunderland midfielder Arnau Riera saying they were "not on my list".
Culina added: "Maybe last year we were a bit thin. I really do believe that top teams have depth and players who challenge each other.
"Hopefully that will be the case with us next season.
"I haven't got a crystal ball, but if you want to be a top club, you have to have depth."
