Dadi, 35, has proved one of the signings of the season with an impressive goal tally for Glory that sees him third highest scorer in the A-League with 10 to his name.

He was originally due to join Glory last season but paperwork problems with his former Israeli club delayed his arrival in West Australia.

Since then though, he's impressed with his prowess and fitness despite his age.

His success in front of goal has earned him legendary status with Perth fans but contract negotations to renew his deal have been prolonged.

Glory boss Dave Mitchell played hardball with the star and refused to even talk to him about a new contract.

Dadi told au.fourofurtwo.com last month: "I love it in Australia and I love the A-League. I want to stay and I want a new contract but so far I've heard nothing.

"At first I didn't think I could come to Australia and be so far away from Europe. But now I'm here it's great and I wish I'd come here earlier.

"I'm really enjoying the A-League."

He added: "I'm happy with my situation that I seem to be the first overseas striker at the club to be reasonably good.

"But we will see what the club wants to do. If Perth Glory don't want me then I could see myself at another club in Australia. There are other possibilities."

Dadi had been linked with a move overseas to Liechtenstein club FC Vaduz to play in the Swiss League with ex-Sydney manager, Pierre Littbarski.

He had also been tipped for a possible return to his old club Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League.

However Perth Glory will reveal they have finally sealed a deal to keep him at the club (although he may still play overseas on loan during the A-League off-season).

Perth have called a press conference for this morning to confirm the new contract.
