The eight-time champions looked set for an easy win when striker Wang Peng celebrated his call-up to the China squad for next month's Asian Cup by firing home from outside the box in the 25th minute to give the visitors the lead.

Yan Song went close to extending the lead four minutes later, but his volley was saved by Zhejiang keeper Jiang Bo.

Jo Bonfrere's side intensified their attacks in the second half as they looked to kill the game off, but in the 66th minute Zhejiang took advantage on the counter attack as Ji Xinghua broke clear down the left wing and crossed for Cai Chuchuan to head past Dalian keeper Chen Dong.

Dalian were rattled by the equaliser and eight minutes from time, Zhejiang substitute Yu latched onto a long cross and chipped home a superb effort to give his side the lead.

Three minutes later, the 24-year-old forward sealed Zhejiang's third victory in 12 games with a powerful left-foot drive.

It was the second defeat of the season for Dalian, whose only other loss was a 2-1 setback in late April against another promoted side, Henan Jianye.

Dalian have 21 points and are five adrift of Changchun, who came from a goal down to beat Henan 3-1 at home, thanks to a hat-trick by Ivory Coast international Guillaume Dah Zadi.

Lu Feng opened the scoring for the visitors, tapping in a rebound 19 minutes into the game and almost added his second six minutes before the interval with a low shot that hit the woodwork.

However three minutes after the break, Dah Zadi beat the offside trap to slot home the equaliser and Henan suffered a further setback 15 minutes before the end when midfielder Jin Ziji was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

Two minutes later, Honduran forward Elvis Scott side-stepped Henan keeper Che Xiangqian to set up an easy goal for Dah Zadi, who then found the net again three minutes from time to complete his treble.

Elsewhere, Tianjin Teda moved up to third place after edging Beijing Guoan 1-0 while Liaoning Zhongyu beat Xiamen Lanshi 2-1.
