The striker sustained the injury in the recent 1-1 draw at Sydney FC and club staff have been carefully monitoring the situation since.

However, with goals now under his belt for his new club, Djite is in no mood to be missing out on the A-League action.

''I will be okay for the Adelaide match," he told goldcoast.com.au. "The injection has calmed things down a lot and it's obviously a game I don't want to miss.

''The injury has been troubling me for a little while and it needed to be looked at.''

Meanwhile, coach Miron Bleiberg is in confident mood ahead of the clash with the unbeaten Hindmarsh outfit.

"It's an important game because there are three points on offer, not because Adelaide are top of the league," Bleiberg told United's official website.

"The fact that they are unbeaten will add a little spice if we win the game because we will be the first team to do that. It would of course be great for our confidence.

"For us it's all about confidence and momentum. We are on a decent run of form and we want to keep that going. Plus, the league is so tight that one or two good or bad results can see you shoot up the table or drop down.

"It's obvious which direction we want to be going in."
