The west Africans, who are being led by Dujkovic's fellow Serb, Milovan Rajevac, feature 11 players in the 23-man list without experience at the competition, while the squad also features eight members that were part of last year's FIFA Under-20 World Cup-winning side.

Even with this inexperience, the man that led the team to the second round of the 2006 World Cup is confident they will make a massive impact in Angola.

He said: "Any country which goes into a game with Ghana at the Nations Cup thinking they are made up of green horns are hugely mistaken.

"I am following the tournament closely and I think that Ghana will cause a major surprise at the tournament in Angola. The history of Rajevac in this country is that he takes potential youngsters and turn them into superstars.

"He has taken small teams in this country (Serbia) and made them big in European competitions and his record is there for all to see.

"You saw what he was able to do with the Black Stars who conceded no goals before they qualified for the 2010 World Cup."

Dujkovic also believes that the idea of drafting in youngsters could be a good thing for the future of Ghanaian football.

He added on www.ghanasoccernet.com: "The young players he is taking to the Nations Cup are the future of Ghana football and don't be surprised if he puts the confidence in them to do big things.

"These young players are the U-20 World champions and they also want to prove a point or two. They will cause problems for many countries."

The four-time champions are polled in the so-called 'Group of death' for the January 10-31 competition, alongside Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo.
