To see yesterday's trial match...

Milicevic hobbled off during the Jets 1-0 trial game victory over Central Coast Mariners on Tuesday but should recover in time for the club's next outing. Costanzo will arrive once Adelaide's season ends at the Telstra Dome this weekend.

Van Egmond is delighted with the early impact the former Melbourne Victory man has had on the squad and his vocal approach was again evident during the win over the Mariners.

The Jets coach told au.fourfourtwo.com: "We've got someone in Ljubo who knows the game really well.

"He can coach from behind and really steer the ship around a little bit. I think if we look at both Melbourne Victory and Queensland Roar they have that as well (in Kevin Muscat and Craig Moore)

"Ang (Costanzo) did it for Adelaide and we're looking forward to him joining us.

"Because these players see the whole of the game from their position on the pitch they can do that.

"Hopefully it will also help the other players to get more confidence and for them to coach a little bit more too.

"Because when the ball's in that front third it shouldn't necessarily be Ljubo doing the talking, the midfield as well are in more contact with the strikers.

"But Ljubo's got the respect of all the players, got himself in good nick so we feel it's going to be a good acquistion for the Jets."
