The Jets have lost three of their last four games and home attendances have been disappointing so far this campaign.

But Elrich is urging fans to keep the faith and insists they have a huge role to play in helping the team push up the table.

The Jets have two home games in a row, starting with Melbourne Victory on Sunday before backing up just five days later to play host F3 rivals Central Coast Mariners.

Despite the poor run of results Elrich believes the side is close to clocking up some competition points.

"We've been playing some good football in the last couple of weeks and the boys have been looking great, it's just a matter of taking our chances in front of goal and I think we'll be alright," he said.

"We've got a good record against Melbourne so hopefully we can continue that this weekend."

The 22-year-old believes the fans can do their bit to help that push and points to the impact they had during the title campaign a couple of seasons ago.

"In season three, when we won the championship, I think the fans were our 12th man and that's what we need again, the crowd support to get us through," said Elrich. "We've got two home games in a row now where hopefully we can secure maximum points."

The Jets will hold a fan's day at the stadium at the end of the Melbourne clash. Players and coaches will be available to sign autographs and have photos taken with fans after the game.

Elrich added: "Hopefully the fans come out on Sunday and support us and we'll make sure we spend a lot of time with the kids at the fan day to really make them feel a part of the club."
