FORMER North Queensland Fury boss Franz Straka is the new coach of Slavia Prague – but the club’s fans aren’t happy the charismatic manager got the job.
Supporters of the struggling Czech club demonstrated their opposition to the Straka appointment during Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Sigma Olomouc.
Straka has strong ties with cross-town rivals Sparta Prague having played for the club for over a decade and it’s this that has infuriated the club’s support base.
Straka, one of the most charismatic managers seen in the A-League after his stint with Fury last season, will need all his charm to win over the supporters.
"I expected this kind of reaction," said Straka, after the win.
