FRANK Farina has slammed Brisbane Roar for their treatment of senior players like Danny Tiatto, Charlie Miller and Craig Moore.
The former Brisbane coach launched the latest salvo in the war of words between himself and the club in his column on the Courier-Mail website.
He was writing in response to reports 37-year-old Tiatto had been told not to return to the club for his criticism of current coach Ange Postecoglou in the press over weekend.
Postecoglou was appointed to the Roar coaching position after Farina was sacked by the club last October for drink driving on his way to a training session.
Postecoglou's appointment appeared to rankle senior Brisbane players like Moore, Miller, Liam Reddy and Tiatto, all of whom, with the exception of Tiatto, have since moved on to other clubs.
Set to retire at the end of the season, Tiatto was effectively on the outer even before his comments of last weekend and has now reportedly been told to stay away from club training sessions.
Farina, though, has blasted Roar for the situation that's developed.
"The club's treatment of experienced players since my departure last October has been disgraceful," he wrote. "Danny Tiatto is seemingly again being punished for his honesty.
"That trait, and the fact that he wears his heart on his sleeve, has made him a favourite among Roar fans."
"Tomorrow night's home clash against Sydney would have been the ideal opportunity for supporters to say goodbye to Danny before his retirement at the end of the season.
"He's not one for fanfare and fond farewells, but it's the least he deserves for the service he's given to not only the Roar, but Australian football.
"He could have brought so much to a Roar team desperate for some experience in their tough battle to clinch a semi-final spot.
"Instead, he's been frozen out for telling the truth, and he's not the only one."
Farina is embroiled in legal action with Roar, suing the club for more than $325,000 in lost income and damage to his reputation following his dismissal.
