FRANK Farina hailed his young guns for seizing their chance as Queensland Roar defeated Perth Glory 4-1 to finally notch a home victory.

Craig Moore returned to the side less than a fortnight after cancer surgery but the coach chose to make several changes in order to try and end Roar's miserable home run.
Farina was delighted to reap the rewards of a line-up that featured numerous changes to the team that lost to Melbourne two weeks earlier.
He said: “Previous games we’ve created as many, if not more opportunities than we did tonight and got bananas. Tonight we got the rewards.”
The Roar coach reserved special praise for the youngsters Michael Zullo, Tahj Minniecon and Mitch Nichols.
“Sometimes it can go the other way, but as I’ve said to the players all week… you get opportunities and you’ve got to take them,” said Farina.
It was a good day for Roar as a Chris Grossman hat-trick helped Queensland Roar to a 5-1 win over Perth in the National Youth League.
The centre midfielder was the star of the show while Tommy Oar and Josh McVey added to the scoresheet to give the Roar their third consecutive win in the National Youth League.
