FRANK Farina has again taken aim at Charlie Miller's critics after the Scotsman's scoring start to life in the A-League.
Farina devoted much of his Brisbane newspaper column on Friday to an impassioned defence of Miller against media queries over his fitness.
After round two's 1-1 draw with Adelaide United the Roar coach followed up in his post-match press conference by describing Miller's 90-minute performance and well-taken left-foot strike as 'not bad for a little fat guy'.
Farina said: "He's a good player and I think he's showing it.
"He brings people into the game. Charlie had two or three wonderful opportunities and he scored one.
"I always said Charlie isn't the type of guy who'll bang in 15 or 20 goals for you, although I hope he does.
"But he'll chime in with goals and he creates. He'll only get better as his full fitness returns."
