Frank Farina believes his spare-parts Roar side deserved all three points from its trip to the Hunter.
Writing in his blog on the club's website, the Queensland coach said he was disappointed with the 1-1 final scoreline.
"Having conceded a goal last night with a few minutes to go we’re feeling a bit disappointed that we didn’t get the result because I thought generally over the whole 90 minutes we were the better side," he wrote.
"To go 1-0 up and lose a late goal is naturally disappointing and you feel like it’s two points lost.
"but ultimately, before the game if you’d asked if we’d be happy with a point we probably would’ve said ‘yes’ after all that happened leading up to the game."
He added: "These things happen and you just have to hope that the good luck and the bad luck evens out over the course of a season and you end up square.
"We could’ve easily gone 2-0 up just before the Jets scored, but that’s football."
Roar plays high flyers Central Coast this Thursday in Brisbane.
