HAT-TRICK hero Robbie Fowler said three points not his three-goal haul was the most important statistic to celebrate after Perth Glory's 3-1 triumph over Melbourne Victory at nib Stadium.
Glory's marquee man proved too hot for the visitors, firing Glory into a first-half lead via a penalty rebound, before completing his treble with two goals in the space of seven minutes after the break.
But the former Liverpool striker said the biggest plus to emerge from the afternoon was the win, rather than his own personal goal tally.
"Its nice scoring goals but the most important thing is the three points," Fowler said.
"As the gaffer said we've been a lot better in the last few weeks but I think today we've taken it to Melbourne and deserved the win."
