To see Melbourne Heart training for the match...

The Jets were forced to move their weekend clash with Heart to Port  Macquarie after the pitch at EnergyAustralia Stadium was wrecked by a motocross event which led to last night's game against orth Queensland Fury being postponed until January.
Now the Jets under new owner Nathan Tinkler are pulling out all the stops to make sure as many Jets fans and Port Macquarie locals get to see the match as possible.
“This is a chance for us to host a community celebration for the football family and our fans on the Mid North Coast and we are excited at the opportunity this unforeseen event has presented to us as a Club,” said Ken Edwards, Executive Chairman.

“At the core of our mission is that this club is a very real part of Northern NSW. We can now prove that these are more than mere words to us. It is an essential part of any decision making process for the club.

“We will be opening the gates to give the community the chance to watch the Jets and  Heart in action. This is such an exciting opportunity for Port Macquarie and the region.

“For our original and very loyal Jets Members (Season Ticket Holders) we will be providing them with the opportunity to travel, FREE, to the game from EAS on Jets buses and will have 1000 grandstand seats available to them.”

Newcastle Jets will be providing a full refund to those fans who purchased tickets to the match which was to be held in Newcastle this weekend, while the FREE tickets for the now cancelled “Community Celebration” event will be reissued with free admission to the new “Community Celebration” event, details of which will be finalised in the coming week.

Edwards added: “We thank our members sincerely for their understanding during the situation that we now find ourselves in.”

Full details will be going up on the club's website at www.newcastlejets.com.au shortly.
