On Thursday, the Club announced that it would be using its final seven matches of the Hyundai A-League season to build for the future and Sseppuya has been informed he would not be offered a new contract at the North Queensland Fury when contract talks open.

Fury will meet its financial obligations towards Sseppuya but the timing of his release will enable the 27-year-old to utilise the January transfer window to find a new club.

Fury coach Franz Straka said: "As announced earlier this week, we will be using our remaining seven matches to build for the future and to give players the opportunity to show us what they are capable of and their desire to be at the club next season.

"As part of this process, we have decided that Eugene is a player we don't see in our future plans and have given him this early release so he can use this transfer window to find a new club."
