AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has refused to criticise Ronaldo despite his extended absence through injury.
The 30-year-old striker returned to Brazil for treatment on his muscular problem after being misdiagnosed by the Rossoneri's medical staff.
The former Real Madrid star is now back in Italy, although he is expected to be out of action until October at the earliest.
"I'm not angry with Ronaldo at all: on the contrary, I have daily contact with him and I remain convinced that he traveled in good faith," Galliani told the club's official website.
"The lad did what he did because of his desire to recover as soon as possible, and his anxiety is understandable due to the many injuries of the past, poor guy.
"When will Ronaldo return? I don't know. I say again, I won't get into a medical issue which is so complex and delicate."
