GOLD Coast United's notorious private jet has caused the club's friendly against Singapore U23s to be postponed after problems left it grounded.
The A-League new boys had been due to clash with the U23 Singapore side at the Jurong West stadium but the Australians' plane reportedly suffered a mechanical failure prior to departure on Monday night.
The Football Association of Singapore said in a statement the game would now take place on Wednesday at Hougang Stadium.
Gold Coast are also scheduled to play Hong Kong later in the week. Singapore hopes to use the match to give youngsters a taste of high-quality opposition as they prepare for upcoming SEA games in Laos and the Olympic qualifiers.
