PERTH Glory's squad donated some of their own personal boots and kit to players from local club Mbombela United as their South African tour nears an end.

Team Manager Ian Gillan was delighted Glory could give something back to the community who have made the players and staff so welcome since they arrived in the Republic.
“The players thought it would be a nice gesture to give away some of the boots and kit that they no longer needed to some of the underprivileged people from Mbombela," said Gillan.
“Mbombela United play in the Vodacom League which is two divisions down from the top flight ABSA Premiership and some of the players involved are not as fortunate as those from the teams higher up the leagues.
“Some of the boys gave away personal training and casual gear as well as boots and the local players were delighted.”
The kit giveaway followed on from the series of coaching clinics Glory have run since arriving almost a fortnight ago and the players relished getting out and about to interact with the locals.
“The community experience has been extremely humbling and really enlightening, Glory goalkeeper Danny Vukovic said.
“A lot of the people here are far less fortunate than people in Australia and you wouldn’t believe some of the sad sights that you get to see in this country on a daily basis.
“The locals have a wonderful, infectious smile and leaving our training gear with them was something all the playing wanted to do.”
