PERTH Glory's diabolical run continues following a 2-0 defeat in Adelaide but coach Ian Ferguson is convinced his team is heading in the right direction.
Glory endured yet another reverse and ended the match with 10 men at Hindmarsh but Ferguson could find no fault on the effort front.
"Another defeat, which is not great, but I think the effort and the commitment the boys showed was fantastic," Ferguson told Fox Sports.
"I couldn't say a bad word against the boys, they went out there and showed a lot more desire, a lot more commitment than what they have showed in the last five, six weeks.
"I know it's a defeat but the signs were positive, we're heading in the right direction."
Glory's defeat leaves them in eigth spot on the ladder, just ahead of Sydney FC and North Queensland Fury.
