PERTH Glory's pursuit of some big-hitters ahead of the new A-League season has now seen the club linked with former Dutch star Marc Overmars.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona star retired four years ago due to injury but has since made a playing comeback in the second tier of Dutch football.
Glory boss Dave Mitchell held talks with the 36-year-old while in Europe and the Perth supremo said the player was certainly keen.
Overmars is the latest big name to be linked with Glory. Alvaro Recoba is another name on the club's 'wanted' list.
Meanwhile, Andy Todd looks to be edging ever closer to a move Down Under from Derby County with the Derby press reporting that he will not be offered another contract at Pride Park.
His Derby colleague Mile Sterjovski is another of the names linked with Glory, the club hoping he can be tempted back to Australia.
Jacob Burns is widely expected to join the club in the coming few days from Romanian football.
The 'maybes' as opposed to the 'definites' may become clearer on Monday with Perth having called a press conference to make what it calls 'several significant announcements'.
