FORMER Australian U20 captain Trent McClenahan has signed an eight week contract with Perth Glory as an injury replacement player for Scott Neville.
McClenahan, 26, a right fullback played in all three games for the Olyroos at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
“We’re glad to have him on board,” Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson said. “He’s a quality player who has captained his country at youth level.”
Signed by West Ham at the age of 16, McClenahan spent nine years in the UK with stints at Milton Keynes Dons, Hereford United, Hamilton Academical and Scunthorpe United.
McClenahan will train with Perth Glory tomorrow from 10am at McGillivray Oval.
Meanwhile scans have confirmed Travis Dodd will be sidelined for the next four weeks with a torn hamstring picked up in the weekend's game.
